About the Author

As an author, her voice is used to provide young readers with knowledge of past experience and struggles of the African-American family, therefore igniting their curiosity to explore the cultural accomplishments over the past fifty years.

The author received her bachelor’s degree in math educations from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (1973), a master’s degree in administration and supervision from Nova Southeastern University (1976), and a doctoral degree in educational leadership from Nove Southeastern University (2001).
